Max Becker is a research associate at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, specializing in tax policy, economic development, and housing research.

Mr. Becker started as a research assistant with the Gardner Institute during his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah. He focused specifically on the history of Utah’s tax code and economic development. After graduating, he took on the role of policy director for Chris Peterson’s 2020 Utah gubernatorial campaign. He now serves as the program director for Octagon Mentoring, a transitionary program for young adults coming out of in-patient treatment centers.

Max holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Utah.
