The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute announces its next “Newsmaker Breakfast,” a monthly event highlighting current issues impacting the State of Utah.

February’s Newsmaker will focus on immigration policy. Topics of discussion will include local solutions and ways to find common ground on policies such as border security, visa reform, asylum requests, and labor shortages.

February’s Newsmaker will be Ali Noorani, Executive Director of the National Immigration Forum. Mr. Noorani is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a leading national expert on immigration policy.

The February Newsmaker will fall on February 7 instead of on the second Wednesday of the month. The program will be begin at 8:15 and will be moderated by Gardner Policy Institute director Natalie Gochnour. Media are invited to attend and ask questions.
