Mallory Bateman is a research analyst and the State Data Center coordinator at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute.
Ms. Bateman will be responsible for production of various products to help the public understand data about their communities. Additionally, as the State Data Center coordinator, Ms. Bateman will utilize her background in research, analysis, and public involvement to produce training and technical assistance regarding Census data for government, researchers, and community members. Prior to her time at the Policy Institute, she worked as a Research Analyst at the Utah Foundation and researched topics from demographics to local roads. Her experience also includes time in nonprofit community engagement as well as public involvement and environmental analysis.
Ms. Bateman earned her BA in Urban Planning from the University of Utah and an MSc in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics.
