Tech and Fin Tech

Through its economic research of the tech sector, the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute provides analysis and insight for people working in and around Utah’s tech companies. Tech sector activity includes digital device and equipment manufacturing; e-commerce for retail and wholesale trade; telecommunications, data processing, online media, and software publishing; and computer programming, systems design, and other information technology support. Strategic industries intersect with tech including advanced manufacturing, aerospace and defense, life sciences and health care, and financial services (creating the fintech sector). The Gardner Institute prepares industry and workforce profiles, as well as trend analysis and economic modeling.
