Willem van der Schans is a graduate assistant at the Gardner Institute, focused on housing resaerch. He is in his final year of the University of Utah’s Master of Information System program, where he is focusing on software development, machine learning, and data engineering.
Prior to his work at the Gardner Institute, Willem worked at various businesses in the United States and the Netherlands. His previous work focused on Machine Learning optimization in the real estate sector, process optimization through software development in the retail sector, and On-demand customer evaluation in the finance sector.
Willem earned his Master’s in Business Analytics, Master’s in Finance, and Master’s Certificate in Real Estate at the University of Utah. He earned Bachelor’s in Business Administration at Nyenrode Business Universiteit in Breukelen, The Netherlands.
