Jennifer Leaver is the senior tourism analyst at the Gardner Policy Institute, specializing in local, regional, and statewide tourism research.
Leaver is the author of the annual State of Utah’s Travel and Tourism Industry report, 29 county tourism profiles and a research brief detailing the economic contributions of travel and tourism in rural and urban Utah. In addition, she has conducted economic research for the Utah Film Commission and has helped on research projects covering diverse topics.
Leaver received her B.A. in English from the University of Puget Sound and her M.A. in Applied Anthropology from Oregon State University. Prior to her time at the University of Utah, she spent seven years working as a policy specialist, research consultant and information analyst for the State of Utah’s Department of Human Services.
