The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute announces its next Newsmaker Breakfast, a monthly event highlighting issues impacting Utah.

Utah’s diverse energy industry spans traditional fossil fuels like crude oil, natural gas, and coal to renewable sources like hydroelectric, geothermal, solar, and wind. Other sectors in the state’s energy industry include refining and oil and gas product distribution, energy-related manufacturing, electricity storage and distribution, retail and wholesale energy trade, and solar and energy efficiency activities. The Gardner Institute, in collaboration with the Utah Geological Survey, has completed a comprehensive impact analysis of Utah’s energy economy, showing its important role in the state.

February’s Newsmaker Breakfast will feature an expert panel discussion that will focus on Utah’s energy economy and also present the findings of the report. The conversation will be moderated by Gardner Institute director Natalie Gochnour. Media are invited to attend and ask questions.

Please RSVP to gardnerinstitute@eccles.utah.edu as space is limited.
