Collaboration

In today’s fast-paced and competitive business and political environments there is a great need to establish a place that supports informed decision-making at every level. Entities that collaborate effectively are stronger and more innovative when they confront seemingly intractable problems jointly. Collaboration does not eliminate hard decisions or guarantee consensus, but it improves acceptance of the decisions that are made. Good collaboration and policy-making that considers the public’s informed opinions are more than a compromise – they advance policy and actions on the basis of shared values. Collaboration can take place between business competitors, government entities, non-profit organizations, and citizen groups.

The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute hosts and facilitates collaborative discussions with stakeholders on pressing public policy issues.
