The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute announces its next Newsmaker Breakfast, a monthly event highlighting important issues impacting Utah.

Over the past decade, Utah was the fastest growing state in the nation. While not a new phenomenon, Utah’s growth creates challenges as it generates significant costs. To maintain and enhance Utah’s high quality of life and prosperous economy, Utahns will need to continue making significant investments in infrastructure, transportation, water, education, and other public goods and services.

Join state leaders for a discussion on user fees and the role they can play in Utah policy. The Gardner Institute will also release an accompanying visual guide that articulates Utah’s challenges, provides an overview of user fees in Utah, includes illustrative data on how user fees work in transportation, water, higher education, and plants seeds for potential policy changes in these areas.

Attendees have the option to attend in-person at the Gardner Institute where health and safety guidelines will be in effect. Please RSVP to gardnerinstitute@eccles.utah.edu as space is limited.

The event will also be streamed over ZOOM. Please RSVP via ZOOM Meetings. A secure ZOOM meeting link and password will then be sent to those who register.

The conversation will be moderated by Gardner Institute director Natalie Gochnour. Media are invited to attend and ask questions.
