Western States Budget Report
The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute and the California Journal of Politics and Policy partner with faculty at 14 western universities to annually publish the Western States Budget Reports. The reports are a summary of each state’s budget process development in preparation for the next fiscal year and are presented each year at a roundtable discussion during the Western Political Science Association Meeting. These reports were initiated in 1997 to be of use to individuals interested in contemporary public budgeting beyond pure theory. The states that participate in this effort include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
