The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute announces its next “Newsmaker Breakfast,” a monthly event highlighting current issues impacting the State of Utah.

February’s Newsmaker will focus on Utah’s Olympic legacy and plans moving forward to once again bid for the winter Olympic games. As all eyes focus on Pyeongchang, South Korea this month, we will examine what the games’ impact has been over the past 16 years and Utah’s ties to the 2018 games.

Our Newsmaker will be Colin Hilton, President & CEO of the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation. For over 25 years, Colin Hilton has actively engaged in community planning efforts related to large international sporting events, grassroots Olympic sports programs, and regional economic development efforts. Most recently, Hilton also serves on the Utah Olympic Exploratory Committee in an effort to bring the Olympic Games back to Utah.

The event will be held in the Ivory Ballroom of the Thomas S. Monson Center and moderated by Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute Director Natalie Gochnour. A light breakfast will be served. Media are invited to attend.

RSVP to gardnerinstitute@eccles.utah.edu as space is limited.
